Meet the 2019 Courage Ride Patient Honoree
Parker Kress is a 17-year-old from Bettendorf who was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma at the age of 13 and ultimately had a right through-knee amputation in 2015.
To say that this young man is inspirational is truly an understatement. He has not let his illness slow him down and has used his large social media following to do great things. He was named Kid Captain in 2016. Most recently, for his 17th birthday, he organized a toy drive for the UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
Over 500 toys were donated!
